Malaysia is a vibrant place to visit, and an interesting location for up-and-coming business ventures. As part of the growing ASEAN market, it offers a wealth of resources and products for import and export. Malaysia’s capital is Kuala Lumpur and their government is a Federal constitutional monarchy.

The ethnic makeup in Malaysia makes it a very interesting and complex location. It is 50% Malay, 23% Chinese, 11% Indigenous, 7% Indian and 7% other. The labor force is 50% in the services, 36% industry, and 13% agriculture. As recent as 2006, the export and import growth figures were quite impressive. In that year, the export growth was almost 17%, while the import growth was 25%. In the third quarter of 2009, the unemployment rate in Malaysia was as low as 3.6%.
